Matcha.Guide

Editorial Team

Matcha Guide is written, edited and maintained by a UK-based editorial team. We publish collectively rather than under individual bylines — so rather than introduce you to people, this page sets out how the work actually gets done, and how it is paid for.

Everything is written by the editorial team

Matcha Guide has no individual bylines. Articles are researched, drafted and edited collectively, so every page is attributed to the Matcha Guide editorial team rather than to a named author. Where an article is corrected or expanded, the team that made the change is the same one that published it.

Products are bought, not gifted

We buy the products we recommend at full retail price unless a sample is provided, in which case we say so on the page. Ratings cover flavour, colour, value, and packaging or sourcing, and we never accept payment to improve one.

Every page carries its dates

Each article shows when it was first published and when it was last updated, and those dates are also emitted in structured data. Guides that depend on prices, stock or opening hours carry a stated refresh cadence, because that information ages faster than the advice around it.

Health content stays inside the evidence

Our health and caffeine coverage describes what the available evidence suggests and is explicit about where it is thin or contested. It is general information, not medical advice, and it carries a disclaimer saying so. We do not employ clinicians, and we do not present our writing as clinical review.

Affiliate links are disclosed on the page

We earn commission from some retailer links at no extra cost to you. Those links never determine which products rank well, and the disclosure appears on the article itself rather than only in the footer.

Corrections are made in the open

If we get something wrong, we fix the page and move its updated date. Substantive corrections are noted on the page rather than made silently.

The detail

Our editorial policy sets out the testing method, the rating system, how we handle health claims, and our commercial relationships in full. If something on the site looks wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
