Matcha Chamomile Evening Tonic (Low-Caffeine Wind-Down)

Why this recipe works

A small matcha dose plus strong chamomile gives a calm floral profile and lighter caffeine than a full-strength latte.

Ingredients

  • 0.5g matcha (about 1/4 tsp)
  • 120ml hot chamomile tea (fresh brewed)
  • 30ml hot water (70-80°C)
  • 60ml warm oat milk (optional)
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Method

  1. Brew chamomile tea strong for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Sift matcha into a cup.
  3. Add hot water to matcha and whisk smooth.
  4. Pour in chamomile tea and optional warm oat milk.
  5. Sweeten lightly if needed.

Timing tip

Have this at least 6-8 hours before bedtime if you are very caffeine-sensitive.
